Feeling frosty? Stay warm indoors and give today’s sketch a go! Our fantastic blog contributor, Marianne, created her page layout using the Glacier collection based on a quick and easy sketch we supplied. Ready to take a look?

12 x 12 Sketches - Page 014

The inspiration sketch dynamically draws your eye along the lines of the arrows toward the journaling. You could use the same paper for each arrow or different patterns – it’s up to you! If you have a mix of vertical and horizontal photos, simply rotate the photo mats to suit your photos.

You could use just about any punch or Border Maker Cartridge to make the fun accents under the photos!

To create this 12×12 scrapbooking layout, you will need:

Step 1: Use Navy Cardstock as the base of the layout.

Step 2: Choose a sheet of Designer Paper and trim 4 strips measuring 2-1/2″ x 12″.

Step 3: Using the angle marking on your Trimmer for guidance, trim the ends of each strip to a point. Then trim 2 chevrons from the end of each strip measuring 1/2″ each.

Step 4: Trim 2 pieces of Navy Cardstock to 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ and 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ and 2 pieces of designer paper to 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ and 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″.

Step 5: Adhere two photos to measure 4″ x 6″ and 4″ x 5″ to the Navy Cardstock.

Step 6: Punch a Bubble border on White Cardstock and trim to 1-inch wide, cut one section at 6-1/4″ long and one at 5-1/4″ long and adhere to the bottom of the photo mats.

Step 7: Adhere all of the pieces to the spread, following the sketch.

Step 8: Adhere Stickers and Embellishments to the spread as desired.

Step 9: Journal using a Silver Dual-Tip Pen.
