Are Your Digital Photos Safe?

Moment of truth – how many photos have you taken on your phone in the last year? Seriously, take a second to contemplate it… Now, how many of those photos did you print? And how many of them did you back-up?

According to a recent article, approximately one-third of iPhones suffer accidental damage or get broken each year. The most common causes of damage? Falling out of the user’s hand or lap, falling into liquid or having liquid spilled on it, and getting knocked off a table. So, what can you do to keep your precious digital photos safe? We’ve got a few ideas…

Archiver’s Borders of Days Gone By

I love working with old photos, especially when I know the names and even some of the stories that go along with them. I will admit it can be challenging to effectively arrange on a page a group of old delicate black and white photos, in all sizes and conditions.

That’s why I love the new Archiver’s™ collection. The muted color scheme and delicate laser cut embellishments blend so well with the old photos and eras so they complement, not distract, and help pull together a unified page. These borders serve to recreate the feel of an era gone by, to balance pages full of well-loved photos and the memories they evoke.

Holiday Moments with the Imagine Collection

Hello everyone. Today, I am back with another layout using the Imagine Collection. I can’t get enough of this collection. It’s such a fun collection and I just love the colours and all the stickers!

At Christmas time, Edward begged me to put the tree up. I was tired so I told him he was totally decorating the tree. All I did was pull the ornaments out for him and he went to town! I really thought he’d get tired of decorating the tree after a few ornaments, but he surprised me… He decorated the entire tree! It was a nice break for me! Ha.

#FeatureFriday – How to Create a Vintage Scrapbook Layout with Archiver’s™

Five years ago, my Mom gave me a collection of vintage postcards from Bolton Landing, NY, with correspondence from the early 1900s to 1940s. The back of the postcards have small anecdotes written to friends and family. Today, every time that I hear someone talk about their handwriting it’s always with apologies – my handwriting is awful, or, your handwriting is so much better than mine! But, whenever we look back at stories the generations have written before us, we never think… gosh, they have bad handwriting. Rather, we’re fascinated by the note they left us to read and see a small moment in their life.

I was inspired by this new Creative Memories Archiver’s™ page design that Melissa created, so I found my old postcards and decided to write down the story of why my Mom gave them to me.
