Christmas Tags Using Borders
For the Snowman tag, I started with a 2″ x 12″ strip of paper and then trimmed it to 3-1/2″ long. I punched a snowman border, trimmed it to 2″ x 2″ and added it to the tag. The tops of the tag were notched with the concave part of the 2-way corner rounder.
For the other tags, the punched border became the base of the tag. To make the “Joyful” tag, I used the scallop dot cartridge and punched two pieces of mat paper. After cutting each to 2″ wide pieces, the navy I trimmed to 3-1/4″ long and the patterned to 2″. The top of the tag was rounded with the corner rounder.
The Snowflake tag began with a piece of picket fence-punched piece of lavender mat paper, cut to 2″ x 3-3/4″. Small pieces of paper were threaded through the bottom slots. The top corners were snipped at an angle with scissors.
Then I added embellishments and stickers to each tag.
Merry Christmas Tag
These are some of the easiest tags to make! I started by cutting a large mat (with journal lines on just one side) in half. Then I added a section of holly and a poinsettia border. On top, I punched 2 small holes close together, threaded ribbon through and tied in a bow.
Gift Card Tags
For a super easy gift card holder, I started with a large mat. I taped a gift card to one side with repositionable tape runner and wrote my greeting on the other, adding some fun embellishments. Then I folded it in half and secured it with a 3/4″ x 7″ length of paper, folded and taped on the ends. I added an embellishment on top with foam squares and slid it over the card to hold it shut.
Cluster Christmas Tags
The Sugarplum Embellishments are just too cute! Since they look so fun in bunches, I clustered a few together, punched holes in the tops and strung them together to make tags. There are endless combinations…what fun ones will you come up with?
