Tips For Photographing Fireworks

New Year’s Eve is quickly approaching so I thought I would share some photo tips I have learnt over the years from photographing fireworks. Some of what I have learnt has been from trial and error because I have had times when they just don’t turn out the way I planned, but when I get all of the settings correct I am so thrilled with the result!

I’m not big on the whole New Year’s Resolution thing, but this year I’m going for it anyway! As a mama of two little ones I struggle to find a balance in life. I love my family and spending time with them, I also love a house that isn’t in complete chaos, I love baking, I love my hobbies… the list goes on. There’s a lot of love, but  only so much time. This means letting the dishes wait until the kids are in bed and choosing to build couch cushion forts instead. This means hiring a babysitter and going on date nights. This means being present in the moment – even if we are just walking home from school or shopping for groceries – memories can be made anywhere!

Christmas Past Scrapbooking Sampler

Here’s a project that will help you kick-start your Christmas decorating.  This sampler made with our beautiful Christmas Past Collection and Gold Shimmer Cardstock evokes the warm cosy feeling.

You can use the sampler with an easel on your mantle as I did, or it would also be great on your old Creative Memories Everyday Display.  After the holidays are over, use the sampler as a title page for your annual Christmas album or cut it apart into three vertical panels to use as borders on scrapbook pages.
